The connection between art and architecture accompanies the architect Amir Zoref<\/strong> Since childhood. As a teenager, he studied painting in a studio, and to this day he uses drawing as a tool for thinking, expressing, and illustrating ideas in the planning process. Zoref, a graduate of the Technion and owner of an independent office operating since 2018, deals with architecture and interior design of private homes, apartments, hotels, offices, and public buildings. In his work, he is drawn to simplicity, restraint, and a clear hierarchy, influenced by modern and Japanese architecture, but alongside the precise framework, he also seeks warmth, color, and the presence of art and furniture that bring character and life to the space.<\/p>\n

When Zoref designs a bedroom, his starting point is the sense of space. Not just the number of square meters, but the way in which the proportions, openings, and natural light make the space feel more open and generous. “Space is important to me. I want the room to feel as large, open, and spacious as possible,” he says.<\/p>\n

Wide openings, clean lines, and free passageways are some of the tools that allow him to create this feeling. When there is a balcony, the connection to it becomes an integral part of the design. Opening the room wide to the outside brings in light and depth, blurs the boundary between the interior and the landscape, and expands the experience far beyond the physical boundaries of the room.<\/p>\n

Within this envelope are integrated the functions required for everyday life: an organization and makeup area, a place to watch TV, storage solutions, and if the proportions allow, even an armchair or seating area. Each element takes its place without disturbing the continuity and sense of openness. For Zoref, a successful bedroom is not necessarily a large room, but a space that is designed with the right proportions, opens correctly to the outside, and manages to create a sense of space, peace, and comfort.<\/p>\n

For the selected project, choose a jeweler in bed. Noah<\/strong> Auping to Holland<\/strong> In a light wood shade, which found its place naturally in the architectural language of the house. “What I liked about the model is that the bed is very minimalist. Its lines are clean and simple, and that connected me to the house for which I designated it,” he explains. Motifs of pergolas, bars and louvers recur in the house, and the lines of the bed continue the same rhythm in the bedroom as well. The space itself was designed simply, with a dominant concrete back and few elements, so it is precisely the lightness of the bed and the light wood that allow it to fit in without weighing it down. “That’s how the bed, with its lightness, fit in well with this space for me,” concludes Zoraf.<\/p>\n
