Her studio designs residential and commercial spaces in a dramatic and distinctive language, in which art, material and color have a significant presence. For Shalom, every project is a work of art, a concept that is also expressed in the way she approaches bedroom design.<\/p>\n

“The bedroom is the place where we gather with ourselves, finally alone, without interruptions,” says Shalom. “It is important to me that the bedroom be sexy and cozy, and reflect the personality of the person who lives in it. After all, it is the first thing we encounter in the morning and the last space we see before we close our eyes at night.”<\/p>\n

For her, the bedroom is the most intimate space in the house, and therefore its planning begins precisely with the feeling we want to create. It doesn’t have to be busy or strenuous, but rather envelop those who enter it and create an almost immediate transition from the pace of the day to a quiet, soft, and more personal place. This feeling is created through a precise combination of proportions, materials, and lighting. Soft textiles, materials that are pleasant to the touch, warm, controlled light, and a color palette that matches the character of the homeowners allow for layers of intimacy to be built without overwhelming the space. Even the smallest details have meaning, from the way the light hits the room in the morning to the lighting that accompanies it in the evening.<\/p>\n

“For me, sexy doesn’t mean dramatic,” she explains. “It can be the right lighting, a material that’s pleasant to touch, or a color that makes you feel good. Ultimately, the room should feel like yours.” This is how the bedroom transforms from a place intended only for sleeping into a private space that allows you to stop, disconnect, and recharge, and most importantly, a place that says something about the person who lives in it.<\/p>\n

For the production, Shalom chose a bed. AUPING Essential<\/strong> of Hollandia<\/strong> And presented it in black. “It’s very minimalist, clean, made of an aluminum frame,” she explains. “I really like this bed because it fits the dimensions of Israeli apartments.” She also emphasizes the raised structure of the bed, which gives it a floating, light and airy look and makes it easy to clean underneath. The space around it she chose to take, in her words to “Dreamland”: “A bedroom should really be dreamy.” Alongside the nature reserve that can be seen from the outside, she created a soft, inviting and cozy room, using a dark palette. “You can also create this with dramatic and dark colors,” she concludes.<\/p>\n
