Ronit Shisman

What do you think makes you unique in the fields of design and architecture?

My uniqueness in the field stems from being a woman, and that has supreme value. I focus on design practice, with a deep understanding of the unique needs of women and family members, which is a different mindset from that of a man.

In addition, I am very attentive to my clients. I first listen, understand their needs and desires, and only then begin planning.

I don’t impose my style, taste, or line on them, but rather adapt myself to them. Therefore, each of my projects is unique and different, with the goal being to create the right connections and bring everything to the highest professional level.

How do you combine career and motherhood? How do you divide your time?

Combining career and motherhood is not easy. I have a lot of help from my family – my mother and mother-in-law take care of the children a lot, worry about them and teach them. My working hours are longer than those of hired women and I don’t rest at night either. It’s not easy, but the profession is very rewarding and satisfying.

Tell me about a challenging project that required special planning:

A four-story building that we turned into one house and the result is amazing and unique. The planning was very complicated and complex and required coordination with many professionals who had to cooperate.

What is the force that drives you every morning?

The desire to do good to people, to enter their hearts and homes. In my opinion, home is of supreme value.

I connect with and love my clients, working from the heart and not with a technical approach.

My satisfaction stems from the final result and the exciting responses from my clients, who tell me how much I’ve changed their lives, how comfortable they are at home, and how much they don’t want to leave it, not even for a trip or a hotel.

That’s what fills me up every time.

Share a tip for a young designer who wants to break into a market saturated with designers and architects:

First of all, be you! Maintain your uniqueness and your “I believe” and express yourself. Seeing and imitating others creates repetition and cycle and will not allow you to brand yourself. Look for yourself in what makes you special and different from others, what you can give beyond the standard, what is special about your design and lines. Always maintain your I believe.

Tell us about a Pietro Hecht product that you particularly like:
