Michal Ginzburg

What do you think makes you unique in the fields of design and architecture?

My uniqueness in design and architecture lies first and foremost in touching people. My personal style is based on understanding the unique needs of each client and precise customization, just like a glove.

My goal is to create functional spaces within an aesthetic envelope, while maintaining a balance between the two. The feminine edge gives me sensitivity and empathy for my clients’ preferences and needs,

Which allows me to design customized solutions for them. In the equation of functionality versus aesthetics, both parameters are of equal value and I don’t compromise on either.

How do you combine career and motherhood? How do you divide your time?

My work hours are set according to the time I have with my children. In addition, as a freelancer I have the flexibility that allows me to divide my time wisely. Of course, family support is a very significant factor as well.

Tell me about a challenging project that required special planning:

Planning and design of a community center intended for a mixed population of religious and secular people, which aims to promote dialogue, understanding and cooperation. The center is very diverse and includes spaces for workshops and lectures, a music center, a country club, a gym and a spa. The vision of creating a space that creates and serves a diverse community life excites me very much.

What is the force that drives you every morning?

Interior design can significantly enhance our living experience. My strength lies in creating a living space that exudes a unique and magical atmosphere, because a good feeling can truly change a mood. It’s an amazing feeling to see how from a conceptual sketch in a 6B pencil, an entire world can be created.

Share a tip for a young designer who wants to break into a market saturated with designers and architects:

Never stop dreaming, never compromise on finishing materials, and be true to your design language.

Tell us about a Pietro Hecht product that you particularly like:

The Bubble sofas, which give an elegant feel while providing a soft, childlike nod. Their selection of fabrics creates a luxurious atmosphere with a warm, homely touch and can be adapted to a wide variety of spaces.
