Meet Dan and Hila Israelevitz, who have headed the Israelevitz Architects firm for over twenty years.

The firm specializes in planning and designing luxury homes, residential buildings, public buildings and commercial spaces, with an emphasis on support throughout the process, with the aim of creating a uniform and continuous continuity between the architectural process and interior design and planning, all under one roof.

“Design and professional creativity that will translate your hidden aspirations into a home that combines an amazing final appearance with a supreme living experience,” say the architects, under whose leadership dozens of impressive buildings with a unique presence and statement have been designed and built.Their work process is meticulous and meticulous, allowing for fast and precise work in the field. Along with this, they know how to provide an emotional response to their clients during the planning and construction process, a complex and emotional process in itself.

Welcome to a private home in one of the oldest and most prestigious neighborhoods in the heart of Jerusalem.

The homeowners, a family of four, asked the architects for a modern home, and accordingly, huge glass display cases and cast steel elements were designed, which blend in with the traditional Jerusalem stone.

On the lot, which is significantly lower than street level, stands an ancient building for preservation, which has been converted into a lounge bar with seating areas and a living room for family members. The structure of the house was influenced by the unique topography of the lot, with the roof of the building practically touching street level. “The lot is completely sunken, and the planning concept harnesses this fact to its advantage, as this way we were able to create a fantastic system of connections between the wings and floors to the outside,” explains the architect.

“In order to overcome the gap between the heights, we created gentle steps that divide the lot into sections. They are surrounded by large terraces saturated with urban vegetation, so that the path from the entrance gate to the house becomes gradual, pleasant, and experiential,” the architects add.

The entrance to the house is through a large, impressive door with a copper origami folding design.

The house was designed in the shape of the letter H and wraps around a patio – “It’s a kind of intimate internal garden, hidden from the eyes of passersby, which is a perfect focal point for entertaining,” explains Dan.A steel staircase is located in the center of the building and overlooks the patio, pool, and garden through the huge glass facades. The shape of the building allowed the architects to create complete separation between the public wing and the private living units, including the parents’ unit, which includes a walk-in closet and bathroom that opens onto an interior patio filled with greenery.

The interior design is modern and continues the contrast between the dark and light tones that also stand out on the facades of the house. “The fact that we chose to wrap the spaces in materials such as natural stone, marble and Dekton gives them a warm appearance, rich in layers and strata. This feeling is also contributed by fine works of art that the couple have collected over the years and incorporated into various parts of the house,” conclude the architects.
