The basics: Studio Tali Gotthilf is an interior design firm specializing in commercial design – work environments, clinics, public spaces and accommodation units in Israel and abroad. The studio was founded by interior designer Tali Gotthilf three decades ago and has expanded its creative fields over the years. The studio, which has won international design awards and publications in recent years, has accompanied local and international companies over the years such as Amdocs, Sheba Tel Hashomer, Avisror, Babyark, Sela Real Estate, the Ministry of Health, the Rabin Center for Peace and more. “Dealing with the beautiful and the right in our world fills us with a sense of mission and joy every morning. The endless search for new materials and technologies satisfies our curiosity and love of our profession. We approach each project as if it were our first with great excitement and try to ‘reinvent’ the wheel each time with timeless, non-trendy design that combines aesthetics, history and innovation.”

Welcome to: The Longevity Center for Longevity Research at Sheba Hospital Tel Hashomer, managed byProfessor Tzipi Strauss.
“The design of the new center challenges the traditional design of hospitals and creates an atmosphere of a refined spa within the environment of a public hospital. The field of longevity is relatively new in public medicine and is a center of knowledge and monitoring of patients’ health in order to help them age in complete health and longevity. When we came to design such a center, which deals with an innovative field, we recruited a number of design ideas that helped us create a groundbreaking place both in the medical field and in design standards.”

Tali explains. At the center of the studio team’s design concept are rounded shapes inspired by a time capsule, the circle of a clock, and cycles. Two elliptical centers were designed in the center of the space, each divided into several rooms and functions. The rounded structure allows for a natural flow of visitors, providing a pleasant and harmonious experience without long corridors. A calm color palette of earth tones and refined textures of sand grains accompany employees and visitors. Wooden and metal columns were incorporated throughout the space as a recurring motif – “they represent repetition and the rhythm of things in our world and in nature. Repetition represents progress as opposed to staticity and stopping.”

On the drawing board: “These days we are working on a large-scale and challenging project to design public spaces and bring them to 12 residential and office buildings in the redeveloped Be’er Ya’akov for the company ‘Avisror Moshe & Sons’. We created a design language according to which the spaces were planned and we used identical tiles to cover the floors and walls to create a homogeneous space. We also combined elements of wood and metal, such as a large wooden fireplace combined with lighting, and huge blackened mirrors that create a luxurious effect from the world of hospitality. The buildings differ from each other in size and proportions, and therefore each space received a slightly different translation into a language.”
