Country Style Ranch House in Central Israel. One storey detached house on 2000sqm plot with infinity pool and small stable house at the end. The interior of the house was all designed using aged and distressed oak wood. The wooden floor, carpentry and beams in the ceiling , all from this aged wood. The design concept of this unique house was to combine aged wood with natural metal. The kitchen carpentry was designed with an industrial touch to it, by using metal plates as the kitchen front of the drawers. The metal plays a role in almost each designed unit and doors in the house. Each door leading into a room has a metal thin frame around it. The metal is also the side covering of each cabinet in the living room giving it this industrial country look. Another key factor in our design in this house, was to use wooden mashrabiyas as separating walls between areas of the house. When using mashrabiyas in our designs we intrigue and arouse curiosity of the visitor to see what is hidden behind this separating wall. The beauty is to have partial vision through this separating wall while light can penetrate through.
